Crankshaft re-polishing
All reground journals are finished, polished as part of the "regrind" operation. Polishing is also essential for bearing surfaces which have been Tufftride hardened. A 350 Grit Cloth suitably soaped is used for this purpose. Repolishing is also used for reclaiming journals which are minutely damaged but still within tolerance. Operation times can vary somewhat so the following prices should be treated as an approximate guide. |

If it is necessary to rectify a badly damaged journal either by stroking or additional U/S grinding on all or some journals, the additional time taken to complete this work will be charged as extra. |
